Most of us have heard or read the Henry David Thoreau quote, “Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you have imagined.”
We’ve all had those day-dreamy moments where we envision what our life will be like today and also in the future. While we were in high school, we dreamt about college, and while we were in college, we dreamt about our career, and so on. But how often do you feel like your reality has lived up to your expectations?
Probably not often. We’re here to change that. Ensuring you actually achieve your goals and start living up to your own expectations means coming up with a strategy and holding yourself accountable.
We want to help natural health practitioners specifically, as well as all types of entrepreneurs, find out exactly what kind of life they should be living and how to get there.
We invite you to join us from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm on Friday January 9 for an educational workshop led by fellow practitioner and business consultant Dr. Kimberly Kluthe.
From now until Wednesday at midnight we are offering this workshop at nearly half the price $45. Register online today – deals like this don’t last long!
Are you a business owner?
Whether you are a hairdresser, acupuncturist, or massage therapist – you are an entrepreneur before anything else, and we think it’s time to start acting like one.
Many holistic entrepreneurs don’t recognize themselves as a typical small business owner. However, you have products, services and clientele just like any other business. So, why aren’t you taking the same steps when it comes to marketing, pricing and branding as other businesses?
If it’s because you feel stuck, overwhelmed or you simply have no idea where to start, we invite you to join us for Practice by DESIGN, not DEFAULT on Friday, January 9 from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm.
This educational workshop is specifically designed to answer the big questions you may have about turning your practice into a successful business. It’s the perfect time to step outside of your comfort zone and try something new!
This workshop is for you if:
- You are overworking yourself with little to show for it.
- Your original passion or excitement for your practice is gone.
- You consistently feel anxious, overwhelmed or stressed about your practice.
Dr. Kimberly Kluthe wants to help you start 2015 off right! If you are interested in learning more, or if you would like to register for this event online, please click here. We’d love to see you there!
Albert Einstein once said, “A person who never made a mistake never tried anything new.”
Don’t let the fear of looking incapable or awkward keep you from moving forward in your business. We all need to start somewhere, and sooner or later, you will realize that even the most successful CEOs have made big mistakes, but recovered from them, learned from them, and never let it stop them from trying new things.
If you have been feeling stuck in your practice or business, we want you to start 2015 refreshed with new ideas and new strategies to make this your most successful year yet.
Join us Friday, January 9 from 10:30 am until 1:30 pm at the Pura Vida Wellness Studio where registered acupuncturist and practitioner consultant Dr. Kimberly Kluthe will be giving you the tools you need to run a successful practice.

Are you feeling overworked, overextended and over-tired? As a natural health practitioner, it can hard to switch from working ‘in’ your business to working ‘on’ your business. Quite possibly, you are busy trying to maintain both sides: the clients you already have and the clients you need to attract to your services.
Trying to do too much without any extra help will eventually lead to burn out, both physically and mentally.
First, identify what you are struggling with and then come up with a plan to fix it. Decide what only you can do, choose to do just that, and delegate the other tasks to lighten your load.
If you’re having a hard time understanding why you need to do this, just think: what if you had no business lined up for a week, what would happen to your practice? If the answer scares you, that’s good. Learning to let go of the day-to-day operations and work on your business instead is an important lesson for generating long-term business.
Whether you are just new to owning and operating your own practice or you’ve had an established practice for a while, there are specific problems that you will face as a holistic entrepreneur.
Top 3 Problems That Affect Holistic Entrepreneurs
Lack of delegation
It truly is impossible to do everything yourself, so stop beating yourself up for not being able to. The most successful practices are just that because the entrepreneurs running them have taken the time to step back and smooth out the kinks by hiring extra staff when needed and coming up with processes for everyone to follow.
Delegation is a key component of any successful business. Even if it seems like you don’t have the budget for staff right now, being able to promote your business properly is sure to pick up the tab.
Financial stress is another obstacle that many holistic entrepreneurs face. There are a number of costs associated with either running a practice from home or from a clinic or office. Having a well-thought out business plan will prevent you from flying by the seat of your pants, which usually results in more money spent over time.
It can also help to work with a professional to identify the costs that you have to plan for as well as costs that you might be able to minimize or eliminate. You can barter or trade services with another professional like a bookkeeper or accountant to keep those costs down as well.
Marketing is a struggle
Discovering how to effectively market your business or practice can be another struggle for many holistic entrepreneurs. The world of traditional marketing and online marketing is ever changing and can be quite overwhelming.
Even though it might seem like just another cost, investing in a fully optimized and functional website, as well as proper marketing strategies, will lead to long-term business and a loyal following of clientele. Just make sure that however you decide to market your practice, you focus on your ideal client’s problem and advertise the solution you offer, instead of drowning them in a long list of services.
